SCHOOLBOY SOLD REVOLVER TO FELLOW PUPIL

AUCKLAND, This Day. • The sale of a revolver by a pupil of the Avondale Technical School to another punil was related in the Police Court today when John Harvey, a quarryman, pleaded guilty to being illegally in possession of a revolver. The police evidence was . that the defendant’s 14.-year-old son obtained the revolver and ammunition from bis parents’ home without their knowledge and took it to school. He sold it for £lO to a 15-year-old pupil, also receiving a home-made radio as part of the payment. The pupil purchaser had his own banking account, from which he drew £lO. For the defendant it was stated that the revolver was a war souvenir. The defendant was fined £3.
