BOXING Bos Murphy’s Licence Revoked By Council

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The following statement was issued today by the New Zealand Boxing Council: — . “On Wednesday evening, July lb, 1947, the Council of the New Zealand Boxing Association held an inquiry into matters arising out of the contests held at Petone between Bos Murphy and Willie Jones on January 25 last and February 22 last, and it then adjourned to Monday evening, the 21st, to consider its decision. The council arrived at a decision in respect of Bos Murphy and decided that his professional boxer’s licence be revoked as from that date.”
