OBITUARY
Mr A. Campbell The death took place at Ashburton this morning of Mr Andrew Campbell, who for many years was engaged in farming in the Kopara district with his brother, the late David Campbell. On disposing of this property he engaged in farming near Ashburton and later was interested in mining in the Reefton district. He leaves a wife, formerly Miss Alice Methven, of Totara Flat, and one sister, Miss B. Campbell, of Tainui street, Greymouth. Mr F. Wylde The death occurred at' Christchurch this morning of .Mr Frank Wylde, a former resident of Runanga, aged 75 years.' Mr Wylde, who was born at Greymouth, spent his early life at Kumara, from where he enlisted for the South African War. After service there, he was one of the contingent to visit London for the Coronation. He later resided at Runanga, and was employed .in the State mine office until his retirement about 15 years ago, when he left to reside in Christchurch. He was a former vice-presi-dent of the Runanga Co-operative Society, and a member of Seddon Lodge, U.A.O.D. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs K. Fehsenfeld (Greymouth), and two sons, Norman (Christchurch) and Roy (Runanga). The funeral will take place at Christchurch tomorrow. Mr J. S. Walker
The death occurred at Ewart Hospital, Wellington, this morning, after a lengthy illness, of Mr James Simpson Walker, licensee of the Recreation Hotel, Greymouth, aged about 62 years. Mr Walker, who was born in Scotland, came to New Zealand about 14 years ago. He had lived at Gieymouth for the past six years. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, one of whom resides in Auckland and the other in Suva. The funeral will take place at Wellington. .
