R.S.A. BRANCH FINED FOR SELLING LIQUOR
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, This Day. For selling liquor without a licence, the Otahuhu Returned Services’ Association was fined £5 by Mr J. Morling, S.M., today. The police said the association held a smoke concert, for which 5s admission was charged. After the concert a Maori, who was arrested for an alleged burglary, admitted having been at the gathering. He was intoxicated. The magistrate said he would take a lenient view.
