RUSSIAN-CZECH TRADE PACT IS ANNOUNCED
PRAGUE, July 12.
The Czech Prime Minister (Mr Klement Gottwald), after returning to Prague from Moscow, announced that Czechoslovakia and Russia had concluded in Moscow a five-year trade agreement. It is authoritatively stated in Moscow that the principal result of the visit of the Czech Prime Minister and the Czech Foreign Minister (Mr Masaryk) has been an agreement for a great expansion in Czechoslovakian trade with Russia. The agreement has not yet been signed, but.it has already been worked out in principle. It provides for an increased volume of goods to be exchanged over a considerable period. Mr Stalin, gave a dinner in the Kremlin on Friday night in honour of the visiting Czechoslovak Government delegation, said the Moscow radio. The Russian guests included Mr Molotov, Mr Vyshinsky, and Marshal Koniev. There was a warm and friendly atmosphere.
