New British Fashions

There will be no extremes in British fashions this season, according to a recent message from London. Almost all the fabrics and colours which will be used in the coming months will be based on those chosen by the Queen and the two Princesses for their South African tour. Increasingly good workmanship is going into the manufacture of materials, particularly for day outfits. Scottish manufacturers are concentrating on tweeds of multi-colour, as well as those lighter and finer in texture and colour. Spun cashmere will be a popular material for the jumper suit and tailored ensembles for the spring days.
