REDUCTION OF OVER £100 DIRECTED IN HIGH STREET SALE
Following an inspection of the property, the Westland Land Sales Committee yesterday afternoon announced its decision in respect to an application by E. F. Richards to sell a house in High street to J. Garth for £965.
The chairman, Mr M. Wallace, announced that the committee had taken the basic figure of 19s a square foot, and had applied depreciation at 521 per cent, making due allowance for the improvements on the list pro - vided and which were regarded as being additions. The Crown’s figure of £7O for maintenance was accepted and the net value of the house, thus arrived at, was £5Ol. For other improvements, £5O had been allowed while £3lO was placed on the section, giving a final figure of £B6l. Consent would be granted subject to a reduction to that figure.
