SPORTING Good Armour May Repeat Success At Trentham

The Wellington Racing Club will continue its winter meeting- at Trenth-arn tomorrow when the main events on the programme are the Parliamentary Handicap, the July Steeplechase am] the Members’ Handicap, The weather has been fine during the week and the light raiy which fell today is not expected to have any effect on the track, which will be yielding, but in good winter order,'providing there is no further rain.

The fields are all large and there should again be some excellent racing. Prominent candidates in the Parliamentary Handicap will include Tremello, Foxchase, Chung Chong, Robin’s Reward, Valley Boy, Fortune’s Smile (easy winner of the Whyte Handicap), and Arco with Precedency a likely lightweight. Good Armour may be favourite for the July Steeplechase, but he will meet si I fl' opposition from Roman Ned and the southerner, Royal Writ, while Abdicate will not be discarded.

Win-and-place betting will be used, and the following horses should be well supported:— Corunna Hurdles: Selected, Desert Trek, Montello d’Oro. Trial Plate: Tranbycroft, Play Boy, Horouta.
