Pensioners Protest
Old age and invalid pensioners who met in the Sydney Domain criticised the increase of 5s a week in their allowances as “lousy and paltry.” They adopted a resolution demanding a minimum pension of £2 10s a week instead of £1 17s 6d, which they will gel after July I.—Sydney, July 14.
