RUNANGA MINER FOUND DEAD IN BED THIS MORNING
A miner, David Healy, was found dead in bed qt Runanga at six o’clock this morning.' There are no suspicious circumstances, but an inquest, to be opened this afternoon for identification purposes, will be held. The deceased who resided with Mr and Mrs J. Sheard, at Seddon Terrace, Runanga, was employed at the Liverpool State mine at Rewanui, and it was when he was being called for work this morning that he was found dead: He was aged 51 years and was born at Newcastle, New South Wales. He served in the First World War, and was a member of the Runanga branch of the R.S.A. A foundation member of the Runanga Bowling Club, he was also a member of the Runanga branch of the New Zealand Labour Party. He is survived by a sister, Mrs Keaver, of Timaru. The funeral will take place at Kardro cemetery on Sunday afternoon.
