War Prisoners in France

The French Government has agreed to provide America with full statistical data concerning the discrepancy between the present number of war prisoners in France, which is 450,000,

and the number the American forces handed over to France, which' was about 700,000, says the correspondent in Paris of The Times. The French and American Governments have reached a provisional agreement on the disposal of the 450,000 still in France. The prisoners, except those

in mines, will be given the choice of repatriation or liberation in France with the status of foreign workers. Fifty thousand prisoners employed, in mining will be retained during the present agreement, but will be given the same wages and rations as French miners.-r-Londpn, March 1?.
