Vodka And Caviare For Russian Delegates
i . LONDON, March 15. The House of Lords and the House of Commons produced vodka and caviare at a reception in the Royal Gallery of the Housbiof Lords for 20 delegates from the Supreme Soviet. The Lord Chancellor (Lord Jowitt) and Lady Jowitt, the Speaker of the House of Commons (Colonel D. Clifton Brown) and Mrs Clifton Brown,, were hosts in a historic setting with paintings of Trafalgar, Waterloo, and statues of dead English Kings looking down on the meeting, of Parliamentarians from Britain and Communist. Russia. Mr Kuznetzov, chairman of the Russian Council of Nationalities, said the Russians had the warmest feeling for the people of Britain and hoped Hie visit would strengthen the bond between the countries. Lord Jowitt welcomed the delegates “particularly In memory of the war’s comradeship.”
