Hassett to add a valuable 66. He was beautifully caught at first slip. Hassett, who was then 99, completed his century in 247 minutes. At 126, when swinging wildly at N. W. D. Yardley’s first ball, he was neatly caught at deep cover. He batted for 280 minutes and hit six fours. Tribe, who made 60 in 80 minutes, batted freely with a variety of shots. Scores:— M.C.C.
