The resignation of Mr. D. M. Rae, principal of the Auckland Training College since 1929, on his election to Parliament as member for Parnell, was received at a meeting of the Auckland Education Board to-day. (P.A.). , x Mr. V. H. Conway, works foreman, Railway Workshops, Greymouth, has received advice of his transfer on promotion to the position of car and wagon inspector, Invercargill. He will probably leave early next month when he will be placed at Greymouth by Mr. J. Brown, of the Hillsid.e workshops, Dunedin. Guests at the Albion Hotel include: Mr and Mrs. Large, Mr. and Mfs.
