(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 14. Captain M. T. Holm, secretary of the New Zealand Waterside Employers’ Association, when asked to-day about the settlement of the waterfront dispute, said he had not been informed of any agreement. Ship-owners were hoping that any settlement would provide relief from the present restrictions on the transfer of labour which is on pay to reduce the existing wastage of labour now in short supply. This would be in the interests of the community in general.
