OBITUARY Mrs. Mary Garvey

One of the oldest residents of Runanga, Mrs. Mary Garvey, died last night at the age of 83 years. She had suffered a brief illness. Born at Milltown, County Clare, Ireland, Mrs. Garvey came to Lew Zealand as a young woman and was married at Westport. After a penocL during which she resided at Addisons, she came to Runanga and badlived there for the past 41 years. Her hus band died 21 years ago, and she is survived by five sons, Patrick ( lington); Thomas (Australia); J ° se P*\, Michael and Thomas (Runanga); and. five daughters, Mesdames E. Kyie (Christchurch), M. Ford (Dunedin. L. Sadler, L. Smith (Runanga), and T. Freeman (Cobden). The funeral will take place at the Karoro cemetery to-morrow, following Requiem Mass at Runanga. Mr. John L. Robertson Following a prolonged. illness, the death of Mr. John Law Robertson occurred at Greymouth last evening, e was aged 65 years. Born at Hamilton, Scotland, Mr. Robertson came to New Zealand as a youth and worked for 20 years in the Liverpool mine at Rewanui. He was a keen Association football player. A brother is Mr. William Robertson of Runanga, and he is survived also by three daughters and two sons. The funeral will take place to-mor-row at Karoro cemetery. Mrs. Mary Neubauer The death has occurred at Wellington of Mrs. Mary Neubauer a former resident of Greymouth, after an illn6Mrs. Neubauer was born at Greymouth and lived nearly all her life on the West Coast until she left for Wellington about six years ago. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. L. Ford (Morrinsvill) Mrs. R. Drake (Otira) and Miss’ Hilda Neubauer (Hawera) and one son Lewis (Wellington); also a brother,’Mr. G. Taylor (Greymouth) and a sister, Mrs. G. Morrison (Christchurch).
