SWIMMING Two Competitors Disqualified
(P.A.) INVERCARGILL, Feb. 12. The disqulification of Misses For-| syth (Otago) and M. Teague (Wellington), the two best intermediate breaststroke swimmers in the Dominion, marked the first heats in the New Zealand junior and intermediate Swimming championships which opened in the tepid baths this morning. In the 100 yards intermediate girls’ breaststroke event, both Misses Forsyth and Teague were winning their heats when they were disqualified for using the hook kick. Miss Teague would have very easily won her heat and probably the final. She is the holder of the Dominion record for the event. J.
