Watersider Found Guilty.
Norman William Waghorn, a waterside worker, aged 37, was found guilty in the Supreme Court at Christchurch yesterday on a charge of. receiving, on. January 9,. from a person unknown, four motor-car tyres, valued at £32,
the property of the New Zealand Government Railways Department, knowing them to have been dishonestly obtained. He was acquitted on a charge of stealing the tyres. The Chief Justice (Sir Humphrey O’Leary) remanded Waghorn to appear for sentence to-morrow.
