Mountford Outstanding Personality
“I was recently asked whom I considered the outstanding personality in the first half of the season,” writes E. G. Blackwell, well-known English Rugby League critic. “Without any hesitation I declared for Cecil Mountford, the New Zealand stand-off half, or five-eighth as he would be called at home, who joined Wigan in the close season. “Mountford has been consistently brilliant,” adds Blackwell.
