Mr. G. L. Laurenson, Commissioner of Transport, is visiting Greymouth. Messrs. E. Langbein and W. K. Reynolds left for Nelson by air this morning. „ „ Mr W. E. Lucy, A.M.1.C.E., A.M.N.Z.1.E., assistant district engineer to the New Zealand Railways Department at Wanganui, has been appointed chief engineer to the South Canterbury Catchment Board. Mr Lucy will replace Mr G. R. Milward, who has resigned to enter business on his own account.
