Hockey Against Indians In Japan

The hockey team of the 27th Battalion, New Zealand foi ces in Japan, recently put up an excellent performance to draw one-all with a team representing an Indian unit stationed m the same area. The team was captained by Pte. A. N. Boustridge, son of Mr. F. F. Boustridge, of Greymouth. Pte. Boustridge was an Otago hockey representative before going overseas. He was presented with a Genuine Indian hockey stick by the opposing captain after, the match. In a letter to his father Pte. Boustridge stated that the Indian unit had entertained the New Zealanders in lavish fashion, the officers’ mess being opened to all ranks in the visiting team.
