Ships Collide in Gale

The United States Liberty ship, Middleton, collided with and cut into the sides of an anchored British vessel, the Empire Chamois, in the Garrick Roads (Falmouth’s outer harbour) in the inky blackness early this morning during a 70-mile an hour gale, with torrential rain. Both ships were damaged, but nobody was hurt. A tug from Falmouth brought the Henry Middleton to safety —London, Feb. 2.
