Mr. W. E. Reynolds, of Stoke, is. visiting Greymouth. Mr. B. Tyacke, of Wellington, is at present visiting Greymouth. Mr. and Mrs. L. Butcher returned to Christchurch last evening after soending a holiday with Mrs. A. Rowse, Camerons. Miss Annie James, M.8.E., who is engaged in deputation work with the Presbyterian Church on the West Coast, is visiting Greymouth. Mr. E. D.. Orr, stationmaster at Greymouth for the past year, left by car this morning for Dunedin, where he has been transferred to the position of goods agent. Mr. Orr came to Greymouth in November last year when he was transferred from the position of chief clerk, district office, Invercargill. Last month he \ was advised of his promotion to the position of goods agent, Wellington, but this was later changed to Dunedin Yesterday afternoon Mr. Orr was met by a gathering representing the various local departments, and'a presentation was made by Mi. V>. H. Preston, train running officer, who will be acting stationmaster until a permanent appointment is made. Among the numerous other was Mr. G. H. McKenzie, assistant resident engineer.
