Montgomery’s Tour. Field-Marshal Lord Montgomery arrived at Udine to-day. He was met by the British Officer Commanding the Allied Troops in the Venezia Giulia area, Lieutenant-General Sir John Harding. All roads between Udine and Duino were blocked an hour before Lord Montgomery’s arrival. A security request was made to correspodents not to speculate on Whether Lord Montgomery’s visit to the Italian area-would extend beyond Venezia Giulia or on the duration of the visit. Lord Montgomery is making a courtesy call on the United States 88th Division, inspecting and addressing British troops, and conferring with officers.—London, Dec. 4.
