DELAYS TO SHIPPING AT AUCKLAND

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Dec. 5. Rain this morning meant a further loss of work for the Auckland wate.rsiders who are standing by for the afternoon call in case the weather clears. Two mornings’ work has now been lost this week because of rain, causing further handicaps to Auckland shipping companies in their efforts to move ships as quickly as possible. Through the combination of the weather and the refusal to work overtime, 37 hours of work have already been lost up to noon to-day. Coastal cargo is banking up on Xhe wharves because ships are sailing without full cargoes. The shipments held up include beer, superphosphate, cement, wheat and flour.
