FINAL EX AMI NAT J ONS TO-DAY

Six nurses at the Grey Hospital commenced the State final nursing examinations to-day. The examinations will continue te-morrow and on Tuesday a half-hour practical test conducted by a nurse examiner appointed by the Health Department will take place. These final examina-

tions are for nurses who have had hospital training of a duration of three years and three months, The examination covers all the work done by the nurses during their service. Miss N. Moffatt, Matron of the hospital. said to-day that the staffing position, although not yet satisfactory, had improved a little. A few probationer nurses were expected in the near future.
