Elections Neither “Free Nor Fair”

(Rec. 2 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 2.

The Rumanian elections were neither free nor fair, said the Foreign Under-Secretary. Mr J. T. Mayhew, ip the House of Commons. The Rumanian Government had falsified the results wholesale and they did not truly represent the feelings of Rumanians.

He was not prepared to say what Britain proposed to do about it, Mr Mayhew added.
