Spanish Defence.
Appropriations for the Spanish navy and air force are more than doubled in the Budget proposals which General Franco will present to Parliament. The navy appropriation
is 861,000,000 pesetas, compared with 417,000,000 in 1945, and the air force appropriation is 1,000,000,000 pesetas, compared with 475,000,000. The army appropriation has increased by more than 700,000,000 pesetas.—Madrid, December. E
