Brown Raisin Cookies
"Cream 2 heaped tablespoons butter or dripping with 1 • cup brown sugar,' add 2 well-beaten eggs, 1- tablespoon treacle, 1 small teaspoon bicarb, soda dissolved in a little boiling water. Sift 1 teaspoon cinnamon or cocoa with 2 cups plain flour, add to other, ingredients with a little, milk and! lightly., mix in cup raisins or -silltanas. Bake tablespoonfuls on but- I tered tray about 20 ■ minutes in • hot oven.
