Inquiries indicate that the Royal Commission on the Dominion’s gaming laws is to have a preliminary meeting in Auckland early in November to consider the order of reference and to decide when public sittings of the commission will be held. . The commission comprises Mr. Justice Finlay (chairman), Mr. W. H. Freeman, S.M., and Mr. J. V. Heenan, Under-Secretary of the Department of Internal Affairs. Mr. C. S.
