The roll-call was: “Sing, say or penny pay.” Competitions resulted: Embroidered handkerchief, Mrs Cooke 1, Mrs Banks 2; wandering shilling, Mrs Wilson. The hostesses for the evening were Mesdames Smith and Quinlan.
