SPRING FLOWERS

FINE DISPLAY AT ST. JOHN'S SHOW exhibits well staged The annual St. John’s daffodil show, which is being held in St. John’s Flail to-day, produced a display of a high standard, exhibitors obviously not being caught unawares by the.unfavourable weather experienced at' the week-end. In some sections, however, competition was limited. The judges, Mr. W. Buchanan (daffodils and cut flowers) and Mrs. S. F. White and Miss F. Broad (decorative section) commented favourably on the staging of the blooms. The champion bloom, a fine specimen of Jean Hood was staged by Mr. W. J. Preston, of Greymouth.
