John Hargraves, reduction in rent on mining claims. —Withdrawn. Fritz Holland and W. Hanna, ordinary prospecting licence, 100 acres, Waitahu S.D. —Recommended. Murray Creek Consolidated Ltd., special quartz claim, Reefton S.D. — Recommended. W. S. Butcher, water race licence, one head, Reefton S.D. —Recommended.
William Nicholls, coal lease, 14 acres, Reefton S.D. —Recommended. J. A. Redpath and David Hamill, coal lease, 28 acres, Reefton S.D. (objected to by the Terrace Coal Mine, Ltd.).—Recommended for Minister’s consent, subject to existing rights. Inangahua County Council, leave to hold two extra residence site licences .—Granted. Inangahua Hospital Board, leave to hold an additional residence site.— Granted. # J. J. Chapman, issue oL duplicate title.—Granted. BOXING ASSOCIATION. A decision to endeavour to revive the Reefton Boxing Association was made at a meeting of boxing enthusiasts at Reefton last night. Mr. C. Coxall, sen., was elected to the chair. The Rev. Father Kirby, who lor some time has been coaching a team of boys, reported that he had some 35 pupils ranging in age from nine to 16 years, and that they were now at the stage where they would benefit by having ring experience. It was stated that offers of help from the Greymouth Association had been promised for a boxing tournament at Reefton at an early date, and that the Westport Association would also help. Boxers from both districts would be available to meet Reefton boys. ■ It was decided to form a committee tq inquire concerning the assets of the old association, and to report to a public meeting which will be called to take further steps to revive the association. The following committee was appointed: —Father Kirby, Messrs. F. Archer, J. Griffin, J. Bailey, C. Coxall, C. A. Belcher, C. Lawn.
