NATIONAL SAVINGS
80 PER CENT. OF ANNUAL
QUOTA REACHED
With only 20 weeks of the current financial year gone the Westland pos-
tal district has reached 80 per cent, of its annual quota of National Savings. Last week lodgments totalled £1239, which was £176 in excess of the weekly quota of £1063. All of? fices were credited with successes, four of: the ten obtaining this result
by drawing on accumulated reserves. Returns from the six successful offices, with surpluses . indicated in parenthesis were: — ’ Hokitika, £282 (£97); Greymouth, £6Ol (£81); Blackball, £99 (£49); Runanga, £147 (£47); Otira, £l3 (3); Kurnara, £2B (£3). Lodgments of unsuccesful offices, with deficiencies indicated in parenthesis, were: Ross, £7/4/- (£l/16/-); Waiuta, £3/8/- (£2l/12/-); Reefton, £4B/5/- (£24/15/-); Brunnerton, £B/0/6 (£4l/19/6).
