QUAKES IN JAPAN
BRITISH OCCUPATION AREA AFFECTED KIJRE, August 21. Slight earth tremors were felt in the British Commonwealth Occupation Force area last night. At the force headquarters in the Kure and at Hiro, about eight miles away, windows rattled as large buildings trembled. I Tremors -were reported as far down the coast as Iwakuni, 40 miles from Kure, where the main 8.C.0.F. aerodrome is located. The tremors lasted 1 several' seconds. No damage has been reported.
