In anticipation of the appointment, a new residence for the medi-j cal officer is nearing completion in the hospital grounds. Prior to the war, 1 the hospital had the services of two doctors, but’with the general shortage .during the war years, one was withdrawn and the pending appointment will restore the medical staff to the normal basis. On the nursing side, however, the hospital is still much under-staffed. No indication has yet been given as to what relief, if any. can be expected from the proposal to • bring hospital nurses from Britain.
