LIGHTEST SINCE 1927 WASHINGTON, August 9. The estimated 1946 clip of shorn wool in the United States will be 299,000,0001 b. which is the smallest since 1927. Production last year was 321,000,0001 b., compared with the 10 years’ average of 369,000.0001 b. The small clip reflects, the decrease jh the number of sheep shorn. The average weight for each fleece is the highest since 1933 at 8.121 b., com--pared with 7.961 b. last year.
