ANTI-BRITISII OUTBURST
IN INDIA
(Rec. 12.30 p.m.) NEW DELHI, August 9. Two British, soldiers were injured, one seriously, when crowds stoned military lorries. The crowds had gathered to celebrate the fourth anniversary of the arrest of Congress leaders following the “Quit India resolution of 1942. Police dispersed a procession of students with teargas in the main shopping area. Forty persons were arrested.
