Power Pylons Arrive.
Hundreds of tons of galvanised iron parts for electric power transmission pylons were unloaded from the Tekoa at > Wellington last week. This, the fourth big consignment which has arrived at the port for the Public Works Department, may prove to be the last importation of the type, for a New Zealand firm has obtained the contract ‘for the supply of pylon parts and proposes to set up a factory at which they will be cut, bent, and galvanised. The present shipment is composed of many thousands of bundles. ■
