FRANCO REGIME

PROTEST LETTER IN HOUSE OF COMMONS

(Rec. 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, July 17. A .letter protesting against the Franco regime in Spain has been issued in the House of Commons over the signature of 106 members of the House. The letter recalls that July 18 is the tenth anniversary of the “outbreak of the Franco rebellion against legal constitutional democratic Government in Spain.” The letter declares that Franco’s Government is an illegal usurpation and expresses detestation of the Fascist regime and horror at its continued brutality. It adds a hope that Spain will soon join the countries liberated from Fascist tyranny.
