ATOMIC BOMB
RED CROSS PROPOSAL FOR BAN
(Rec. 10 a.m.) LONDON, July 17. The League of Red Cross Societies carried a resolution asking that the next international conference add the atom bomb to the list of war weapons banned by the Red Cross.
SWISS PLANS FOR RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT (Rec. 10.15 a.m.) BERNE, July 17. The Swiss Federal Council has asked Parliament to approve the development of the atomic energy research in the direction of the creation of a chain of reactions from elements other than uranium. The message said physicists claimed this was possible.
