CRICKET Criticism of Selection of M. P. Donnelly
(Rec. 11 a.m.) LONDON, July 17. “I heard the inclusion of Martin Donnelly criticised on the grounds that- he is a New Zealander.. Why lie should not play ■. I cannot think. This most brilliant 01 left-handed batsmen is adorning our cricket,” says the Evening Standard’s cricket writer, commenting on criticism of the selection of the 'Gentlemen’s team to meet the Players. The writer adds that if Donnelly settles in England after his Oxford studies are completed, there is no reason why he should not play for England.
