Sharp Notes to Albania 1 and Jugoslavia . INCIDENTS CAUSE CONCERN (Recd. 2 p.m.) LONDON, May 9. The Government has dispatched two sharp Notes to Albania and Jugoslavia, says the Press Association. • ■ • Te Note to Albania states that the Government regards as entirely unsatisfactory the explanation, which the Albanian Government furnished regarding the shelling of British cruisers by Albanian coastal batteries. The suggestion that the ships were not recognised as British is regarded as naive. • The Note to Jugoslavia, which was delivered in Belgrade on May 20 protested against Jugoslavia’s lack of co-operation, and particularly’drew attention to Jugoslav obstruction to the efforts by the Allied military governments to keep peace in Venezia Guilia, and also to antiBritish and anti-American slogans being chalked on the walls and concealment of political fugitives from the Allied authorities and demonstrations during the visit of the “Big Four;’ Trieste Commission The Note adds British owners of factories m Jugoslavia and then agents have been denied facilities to visit their property.
