BOWLING West Coast Women Form Association

A decision made at a recent meeting that, a Women’s Bowling Association be established on the West Coast resulted in delegates of clubs from the Buller and Greymouth districts meeting at Greymouth yesterday. It was resolved that the West Coast-Buller Women’s Bowling Association be formed. Six clubs were represented, the delegates being Mesdames Wilson (Westport), Barker (Dunollie), Knowles (Blackball), Longstaff (Blaketown), Graham (Runanga), and T. Coll (Greymouth). Mrs. R. Longstaff was elected president of the Association, and Mrs. Coll secretary. The first decision of the Association was that champion of champion matches be played at the end of next season. It was also decided that a West Coast-Buller annual tournament be held. It was decided to hold the annual meeting next November.
