(Rec. noon.) NEAV YORK, April 16. Commenting on New Zealand’s objection to playing the Davis Cup match in the United States, Mr. AValter Fall, chairman of the Davis Cup management committee, said it was improbable that the match could be transferred to New Zealand or Australia.
“The cup regulations stipulate that the American group final, which would involve New Zealand and the winnei’ of the American zone, must be played in North America,” he added. “If we were to accede to the request, it would mean that the winner of the European zone would have to travel all the way down there for the semi-final round. AVe believe that the European winner would prefer to play in United States.”
