Increase in Service Pay.

The House of Representatives has passed and sent to the Senate a bill raising the pay of all the armed forces personnel. The increases range from 50 per cent, for privates to 10 per cent. 1 for army captains, naval senior lieu- '' tenants, and higher ranks. The cost to the Government is estimated to be 632,000,000 dollars a year. This action has been taken to spur voluntary enlistments.— Washington, April 15.
