(Recd. 11 a.m.) LONDON, Mar. 21. The Athlone Castle sailed to-day with the wives and children of Australian and New Zealand servicemen. The wives’ reactions to their quarters on board the ship were mixed. Those with children were very pleased, but those without children were not so well placed

All went to Australian i wives. | The New Zealand House shipping department states that more than 300 passengers went aboard the Athlone Castle for New Zealand. They 'comprised 207 wives of servicemen and 36 children, 29 wives of civilians and 14 children, and also 21 fiances. Major-General H. K. Kippenberger and his wife are also passengers.
