CONFERENCE TO DISCUSS GAMING LAWS

WELLINGTON, Mar. 2L A special meeting of delegates to the New Zealand Racing Conference has been convened for May 1 in Wellington to discuss and decide what representations shall be made to the proposed Gaming Commission, if and when it is appointed. The matters to be discussed will include reforms which have been sought by the racing authorities for many years. Among these have been measures to di ■ vert the off-course betting to the totalisator, the restoration of the doubles totalisator and the publication of dividends.
