60,000 ACRES OF AUSTRIAN LAND PROTEST BY GOVERNMENT LONDON, March 18. The Austrian Government is protesting against the seizure by the Russians of 60,000 acres of land. The Russians applied for -this land, and were refused. They were offered 20,000 acres, the estates of three Hungarian nobleme^ t J h T O (JooTcrS offered the owners of the 60,000 acies good prices, but the Austrian Government forbade the owners to sell. The Russians said that they had to take the land to supply their occupation troops with food. The matter is to come befoie the Allied Control Council.
