YACHTING SCHOOLBOY SKIPPERS RACE FOR TROPHY
The Vagabond and the Idle Hour fought for the lead in a keen contest for a trophy given by the club commodore, Mr E. Smith, for a for’ard hands’ yacht race conducted on the
Grey River by the Greymouth Yacht Club yesterday. The Vagabond won from Idle Hour with the remainder of the field well back. Detailed results are as follow:— Vagabond ,(Alan Bergamini) scr, c.t. 2hrs 40min, 1; Idle Hour (L. Paul) scr, c.t. 2hrs 40min 20sec, 2; Cygnet (Ray Blacktopp) Umin, c.t. 2hrs 40 min 59sec, 4; Listless (A.
